This is the yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The flowers go from white, to lavender, to purple. One of Roy's clients has one in her garden and he always talked about how pretty it was. He found one last year and brought it home. It's in a whiskey barrel under the baby oak tree.
On the green house mat, all my roses that need a home. Someday, we will have pretty flower beds around the house and these will be the foundation.
While I love all the colors flowers come in, a yellow rose gives the feeling of sunshine. I love it.
The aloe planted with the queen palm at the back of the greenhouse puts on a beautiful display in the spring. The humming birds are delighted with these funky looking blooms.
The sentimental rose always give people something to talk about. I wish they would have name it pepermint patty or candy cane dreams but whatever it's name, it still smells so sweet.
The Marie Pave showing off.
The icebergs Roy planted around the base of the mesquite in the front yard. These are from our wedding. They bloom like crazy, unless it's 100 for 90 days straight with very little rain...
The Joseph's Coat rose bush. It doesn't put out a lot of flowers but they are very pretty when you get one.
We can't remember what this rose is called. I bought it at the old Wolfe Nursery on 410 at Ingram. I just loved the coral/pink color and the fragrance of the blooms. It's definitely a flora bunda because it will erupt into bloom for a week or so and the whole bush will be covered in flowers. The smell is so strong you can catch it on the breeze all throughout the yard. I need to figure out how to bottle it!
Thanks for visiting. I hope your garden is providing you with wonderful colors and fragrances that are so magnificent in the springtime.
