So I still haven't been great about getting on here and posting. Just lots going on. We are moving fast and I haven't taken the time to stop and document it.
Last weekend we had a mini-home vacation. Friday, night we went to Tycoon Flats for dinner. They have good food and a playground. Roy got the beer/margarita combination, Sy played, and I got to drive them home. It was fun to sit outside, listen to good music and just enjoy the family. On Saturday, we went to Dunkin Donuts for breakfast - it's like 20 miles from here - close to Lackland AFB but on the other side - not our side - so very out of the way... then we went to Kiddie Park so Sy could ride some rides. I had purchased two books of tickets are some point a few years ago. I found them in the glove box when I was cleaning so we went. We still have some left for another weekend.
Thanksgiving was good. We went to Roy's sister's house, like we normally do. We have to bring the wine. It's a very hard job! :-) Grandma brings the circulars so we can look to see if there is something we should get up at the crack of dawn for - not this year and that's usually the case.
Last night, we went on our annual hayride with Santa in Lytle. Melissa, Tadan and Carson joined us. Melissa brought the neighbor's nephews children (say that 10 times fast) so we had a large group. The kids did really well and it was fun - not too cold but not as many lights as in past years.
Today we get the tree. Sy is playing in the bath and Roy is laying down nursing his cold. Once they are done, we are off. I looked for the Gingerbread house for Sy to decorate. We have seen them for three weeks now at HEB and yesterday when I went they didn't have any. So I need to find one today.
I found the camera. I brought it home from our trip to PA in August and put it somewhere safe in the midst of the construction. I finally found it. I was safe, no battery but safe. So I need to go through the photos and actually do a post on our trip even though it was 4 months ago now. Oh well, better late than never, right?
I hope y'all are kicking it into high gear for the holidays. I have started shopping but still have lots to do. Not sure when the tree we bring home today will come and get decorated - maybe next weekend?
I need to go reserve a date/time for Sy's birthday party. He wants to go bowling again. Nice and easy for me. He picked out the Tron cake at HEB which is also nice and easy for me.
This next month is going to go fast.
