Last year for one week in January, February, and March, Sy was home with a Fever of Unknown Origin. His pediatrician ran a ton of tests to make sure there wasn't an underlying issue and to our relief and the draining of the checking account, he came out clean.
We got through this January but February was another story. While he went to school today, he did not go any other day this week. He woke up with a fever on Monday. It came in the morning, lunch time and again after dinner. Ugh. We officially determined he is not a fan of bubble gum flavored medicine and toothpaste. And he now knows how to keep the thermometer in his mouth, under his tongue for a reading.
Wednesday being day 3 of him not being in school, he had to go to the Dr. (I know, I'm a sucker for following the rules.) Dr. said his right ear looked suspect but after testing determined it was probably not going to become anything but in case it did, she was call through the weekend. Other than that Fever of Unknown Origin - probably virus.
Not sure where this Fever comes from but I'm glad it's gone and I hope it doesn't visit in March.
