Tornadoes

Don't know the extent of the damage yet but at least 2 tornadoes dropped down south of our town. One went Northwest and the other went South and then turned North. Which allowed them to miss us at the fire house in the center of this little town and it also missed our house.

Roy went out to an accident on the hwy. Not sure if was an accident because of the wind and rain or because of the tornado. He took his emergency radio with him so I haven't heard all the reports coming in. When I left the fire house with Sy and another fireman's 4 children, it was pretty active with grass fires and accidents.

We watched the tornadoes form standing on the back of a fire truck and looking south. It was amazing to watch.

The storm came through at about 6:30 and it was all done by 7:30. It's now 11:15 pm. The kids got dinner and a movie. Mine is crashed in his bed and the other 4 are spread out in the living room. School is going to be hard to rise for tomorrow. God bless them.

Waiting for Roy to come home and for the kids to get picked up.

I just checked the radar and it looks like another cell is headed to the NW side of San Antonio. I hope many of them are paying attention so as to not get caught off guard. The weather radio in the garage keeps going off with warnings for Bexar County.

We haven't had a storm like this in years. I hope it's another 5-10 years before the next one comes through.
