We Got Four

I wrote a post about the Killdeer's nest in our field. Last week Roy noticed the eggs were all cracked open. And while we saw a baby here and there, we had not accounted for four babies for four eggs - but today we did.

On our way home from the baseball game, four babies were in the driveway with mom and dad in close range.

We read up on them on the Cornell site and they said while they will usually have four eggs in the nest, they typically only get two or three babies from each nest. We were very happy to see they were successful in getting all four of their eggs to hatch out.
