Labor Day Weekend

We have a few hours of this long weekend left. It's been pretty productive on the home front.

Friday night we got groceries and washed the cars. Saturday, Roy, Sy and Jim went to fetch the fridge from G&G house and bring it home. While they were gone, I got the vacuum run and floors mopped. I then moved our current fridge to get ready for the newer one.  The new fridge is larger and heavier than what we had so getting it in was interesting but they guys got it done but it was close. Our old one has moved to the fish room and Jim is supposed to come get the one that was in the fish room. I think it's still down by the gate. Roy told him he had until tonight to get it or else it was going to the curb. I wonder if he really means that....

Yesterday, we went to Lowe's and Home Depot to get supplies for the fort project. Roy sanded the boards we bought and I painted. In the meantime, Sy and I played games, read books and did the basic chores around the house.

Today, Roy is out working on the fort. Sy and I have set up, played with and torn down the train track. And then we set up and are in the process of playing with the race track. We took a break to watch Clifford. We haven't seen this in a long time. Sy used to watch it every day prior to going to school. Later, I need to go to the store to pick up some things we forgot on Friday.

Overall, it's been relaxing and we have gotten things accomplished but no big, exciting adventures this weekend. But it's been nice just to hang out with my boys and work on things here.

I hope y'all had a great weekend too.
