90 Degree Turn

I noticed at least a year ago that when I moved photos from the camera to the hard drive and corrected them - landscape to portrait - they would fall back to landscape when I tried to upload them to the blog.

One word... Annoying!

I couldn't figure it out. I wound up saving the photos in Powerpoint as a jpeg and then uploading. This works well, but come on, that's a lot of extra steps when I should just be able to use a few clicks and have photos looking dapper within the copy that is my blog.

Tonight I figured it out - of course - it was after I fought with the images uploaded for the bowling post.

The Canon has an option on the menu for auto rotate. That needs to be turned off. I love Google because you find things out that would have had you perplexed for months, even years, in the past.

I grabbed the camera and went to the menu, since I have a Canon, and low and behold, it had auto rotate on. So I changed it. Now I need to go take some pictures so I can upload them and see what happens.
