The first weekend of December Santa came to Natalia. We went to welcome him and bring him to town on a fire truck on the coldest day of the year (21.5 degrees at 7 a.m.). We were there an hour early, for those of you who know my husband, this is a miracle and really would only happen for the fire department. Sy loved hanging out in the fire truck waiting for Santa to get there and get started. I'm glad he enjoys the cold and thinks pretend driving is the best pastime hands down.
The miracle was that Sy actually acknowledged Santa's existence AND shook his hand. What a wonderful day. Maybe next year, I'll go out on a limb and try to get a photo on Santa's lap... or not...
Here is Sy waiting for Santa to get to the school - the starting place...
Santa finally arrived...this is the closest I may ever get to a picture with Santa...
We put up the tree...don't mind the background, I didn't straighten up until the tree was DONE - that happened on Monday night...
And so did this - two strands of lights went out. Roy took them off to figure out what was wrong and they are still off. I just haven't gotten to the part where I have to take off the ornaments (that Sy has taken off and moved around about 20 times already) to get the lights back on.
This is him with his cake and then his mama and dada.
