Pure happiness

The nephews are here. They came home with us last night and will be here through dinner tomorrow. Sy is elated. He is so excited to have someone other than his parents to play with, beat up love on, and share stories with, he just can't contain himself.
Tonight he told me he was so happy they were here and tomorrow was going to the best day ever because they were going to be able to run and play all day long. And tomorrow we shoot the rockets off.  The wind is supposed to be in our favor so they don't go in the pond, to the llama pen, or to the neighbors house.
Today Sy and I made them muffins for breakfast after we tried to be quiet for 3 very long hours while the boys and Daddy slept in after staying up way too late last night. Then they got to shoot the pellet gun - for hours.  Roy made two targets using their school pictures. Cody shot at Justin's picture and Justin shot at Cody's. The G&G and Mama may not be happy but we definitely drew the line at them really shooting each other. Sy also got to shoot - air - no pellets.  Really, he's not ready.
We all took turns shooting silly string.  The boys rode around in the jeep and played baseball.  The part where they were wacking each other with the baseball bats will not be making the family scrapbook but it did prove that boys will be boys.  We went to McDonald's for lunch.  Oh my word, it takes a lot of food to fill up four boys (Roy, J, C, Sy).
It's all good and it's nice to have them here. They are a big help with Sy and it allows us to keep up with what's going on with them.
