The Orchid

We got on a kick and added quite a few orchids to our plant collection. Roy was convinced he was going to get them to rebloom. He spent hours reading up on them and decided he had it figured out. He had the plants in the kitchen window. I told him our flower buyer said the ones she had were happy in the West window so we moved ours to the living room where they would get the sun in the afternoon.

I am happy to have most of my window sill back and the orchids are thriving. Just this week we got new blooms coming on. This is the first one to open.

There are quite a few blooms on this shoot. I can't wait for them all to open. And I hope the other four plants sitting next to it feel some pressure to perform.
