I had the motor replaced in the driver's window a few weeks ago because it died, in the down position. When I got the car back, the window worked. But when you pulled up on the control, so that it would go up by itself, it would go all the way up and then come back down a little bit. And then you would have to work the control to get it to go up completely. Frustrating - especially for the cost of the repair.
They called a few days later to ask how my experience was and I told them the problem. They would fix it if I brought it back in. Due to scheduling yesterday was the first time I have had to take it back in.
Sy came with me. Once we handed over the car keys and began our wait, I told him we were going on an adventure. So we walked through the lobby and out the door. He was trying to figure out where we were going. And when we got out of the car lot and crossed the street - he figured it out.
The pedestrian crosswalk over IH 35. He has asked numerous times to walk across this and we are always in a hurry here or there so we haven't done it. Since we were waiting for the car, we had time.
It's bigger than it looks when you are zooming by at highway speed. It's approximately 20 feet up over the highway.
Yes, that's graffiti and there was some trash lying around. It's great to see people taking care of their neighborhood's infrastructure.
This is the view looking South bound.
This is the view looking northwest. Downtown SA is really in this photo. You just can't see it. The blue sign is the Honda dealership.
Sy racing for the finish line.
This took all of 15 minutes. We ultimately needed to kill THREE hours.
So we found a very nice little boy to play with in the kids area. That lasted about 15 minutes because his parent's were done and were ready to go.
So we raced around the lobby using the stopwatch on the phone to time how long it took. It takes about 21 seconds when you are five and in sandals.
We pretended we were going to school. He was 5 and in the back seat but when I picked him up he was twelve so he could sit in the front seat. I believe it happens this fast in real life too. We opened the sun roof and laid the seat back to look up at the stars. And we found soda and cookies.
"Mom, how many cookies can I have?" - This was number three.
Finally, the car was ready and we were off. I'm happy to report the window is now working properly.
