Looking Lovely

I have had a love/hate relationship with makeup since I started wearing it way back when. Mascara runs and gives you racoon eyes, eyeshadow creases, foundation can look splotchy, lipstick won't stay on, etc. AND those models looking all spiffy in this or that product, well, we are NEVER going to look like that - unless we have a makeup and hair artist and stylist at our finger tips. And if you have this, please share, just once. I promise I will be forever grateful.

Anyway, I found a few products that I am really enjoying and I thought I would share.

This is waterproof eyeliner by Elf. I buy it at my H-E-B so I'm sure it's in a grocery store or drug store near you. The most fantabulous thing about this is the price. A whopping 99 cents. Can you believe it? I figured I would be throwing it out after one use but low and behold, it's become a morning staple. It goes on smoothly and gives you a nice thin line - just to define. I even have figured out how to put it on the under part of my eye. It stays crisp and clean all day long. And it doesn't make my eyes itch - which is even more fantastic.

This is Cover Girl's 16-hour lipstick. I was at a wedding and one of the girls had this on in a VERY dark red. It looked fantastic but I was sure she was going to be putting lipstick on all night long to keep it looking that good. I was wrong so after dinner - when her lipstick hadn't budged - I was all like what in the world are you wearing. I love that she shared her secret. The next day I was at Walgreen's buying some of this. It's about $10 a tube. You get the color and a lip creme (the lipstick is a little tacky all the time) for that price. I went with a few neutral colors. It does stay on all day long and I have never had a lipstick stay on for more than an hour or two in the past. I am delighted because I really like wearing lipstick.
