I can't believe it. Our little guy is growing up so fast. The Sunday we celebrated his big day went perfectly. Roy and I set up his birthday race track on Saturday night so it would be ready for Sunday morning. We got him an SCX race track. It's awesome. Roy and I had a great time testing it Saturday night. The best part was crashing.
We had gotten a race track last year for Christmas. We spent three hours on Christmas eve setting it up. Once it was set up, Roy did a test run. Needless to say, the cars wouldn't stay on for even one loop around the track. Roy wanted to leave it up and let Sy play with it on Christmas day and then take it back. I opted for taking it down, putting in the box, and getting back in the trunk to be returned on the 26th. We were really bummed the present was a bust so I was on a mission to do better this year. Since we knew what Santa was bringing, we opted to do the race track for his birthday.
At 6 am sharp the next morning. Sy was up. It took him about 10 minutes to make it out to the front of the house and see the race track. He was so excited and happy. Yeah!
Later in the afternoon, we went bowling with the family and some friends. Everyone had a lot of fun.
Sy was ready to do it all over again on Monday!
