Post This

I was at Target one day and happened upon a package of Post-it notes. They were neon in color, lined and labeled Super Sticky.  They were on clearance because the package was torn. I brought them home. I can live with a torn package and I thought they might come in handy.

And let me tell you they have. We use them for our grocery list. We stick one on the fridge every week. The pen sits on top of the fridge and as we notice we need something we grab the pen and write it down. Doing this has helped me "forget" less when running errands.

I also use them for notes to the teacher. They stick to the front of Sy's notebook and the bright colors are very easy to notice.

I also use them for the line-up for t-ball. The coaches wife has the line-up on her phone as a note but only she can see it and with 10 kids running around it's hard to keep up.  Then if you don't interact with it for a few minutes the screen goes black so you have to tap to get the list back up and if you aren't careful, you delete a name. Trust me, I tried to use it while she was out helping coach at the bases. I'm all for technology and am getting prepared to move to the year 2008 and buy a smartphone (soon, maybe) so I am in no way dogging this option. It's just a little hard try and get the list up on a little screen when you have 10 4, 5, and 6 year olds fidgeting while waiting to bat

So for one game I jotted the names of our 10 players down on one of these sheets and stuck it to a metal post in the dugout. I put it close to the entrance and what's awesome about it is - if another parent is in there and you are busy with a kid - the other parent can quickly see who is next.  And some of the kids can read my chicken scratch and they let the other players know what order they are batting in.

These things are BRILLIANT!
